Reference/Collection Management: Evaluates, selects, acquires, programs and preserves audiovisual resources; acts as liaison with filmmakers, commercial media vendors, to ensure optimal acquisition and use of materials. Create local reference works such as bibliographies, mediagraphies, catalogs and review publications. Help in locating film and television information resources and conduct instruction sessions for media specific university classes. Anticipate format migrations and upgrades; solicit donations and assistance for preservation of specialized materials, especially to acquire and maintain diverse perspectives in media.
Media in Curriculum: Assist in integration of media collections and services faculty, staff and other student researchers. Provide or assist University faculty and staff educational with programs using media content.
As Library Faculty also serves in offices and committee memberships in disciplinary and professional organizations at local, regional, national and international levels; organizes national workshops and conferences, especially those related to the intersection of media librarianship and visual studies; activities includes film programs, festivals, editorial boards and educational media publications.
