Ulrich Recital Hall (Tawes)

Norm Steinberg, founder of the TV Writers Workshop at Long Island University, will be in Ulrich Recital Hall on Thursday, Dec. 10, from 2:30 to 4 pm.

He will be talking about his MFA program at LIU-Brooklyn, which prepares people for a working career in television and film. Read about the course here (and watch the video): http://www.liu.edu/brooklyn/mfatv

Classes are held one day per week in the Steiner Studios, where many HBO and other shows and films are shot. A handful of Maryland undergraduates majors have attended this program. Over the course of two years, students also work as interns on various television productions.

Norm Steinberg is a Maryland alumni (History), who went on to write or show-run some of the greatest films and TV programs in history, including "Blazing Saddles.”
